Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how The Pickle Jar LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and authentication credentials managed by Supabase Auth. We do not store plaintext passwords. Facility operators provide additional information about their business (facility name, address, court count, payment processor accounts).

Member and booking data. When you book a court, register for an event, or join open play, we store the booking details, your DUPR rating (if connected), and your participation history. This is necessary to operate the Service.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe and Square. We never see or store full credit card numbers. We store the last four digits, expiration month/year, and a tokenized payment method ID returned by the processor.

Usage data. We log IP addresses, user agents, pages visited, and actions taken (e.g., bookings created) for security, debugging, and product analytics.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not function correctly.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Service; to authenticate you; to process payments; to send transactional emails (booking confirmations, invitations, password resets); to send transactional SMS messages related to bookings, waitlists, account notices, and facility operations if you opt in; to send product updates if you opt in; to detect and prevent fraud; and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Third Parties

We share information with the following service providers, only as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Square — payment processing (where selected by the facility).
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Twilio — transactional SMS delivery where enabled.
  • Vercel — web hosting and CDN for our marketing site and dashboard.
  • Railway — application hosting for our API.
  • Sentry — error monitoring.
  • DUPR — rating lookup when a member connects their DUPR account.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We do not share aggregate data for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for ninety (90) days to allow reactivation, after which it is deleted or anonymized except where we are required to retain records for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

5. Your Rights

SMS choices. If you opt in to SMS, message frequency varies based on your bookings and facility activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS, or reply HELP for help. You can also contact us at admin@thepicklejar.io.

Additional SMS consent details are available at /sms-consent.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@thepicklejar.io.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither).

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth, and access to our infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under thirteen (13). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
